Late April to mid-June and September are usually the sweet spot around Santanyí: warm sea, fewer crowds and stable weather. July and August are busier but bring the longest beach days. Winter is quiet and ideal for hiking and food.

Santanyí is about 9 km from Palma airport, around 15 minutes by car or pre-booked transfer. Renting a car gives you the most flexibility; in summer, public TIB buses also connect the main routes.

A half-day works for a quick stop, but most travellers spend a full day or use Santanyí as a base for two to four nights to explore the surrounding Southeast Mallorca.
