Late April to mid-June and September are usually the sweet spot around Andratx: warm sea, fewer crowds and stable weather. July and August are busier but bring the longest beach days. Winter is quiet and ideal for hiking and food.

Andratx is about 33 km from Palma airport, around 40 minutes by car or pre-booked transfer. Renting a car gives you the most flexibility; in summer, public TIB buses also connect the main routes.

A half-day works for a quick stop, but most travellers spend a full day or use Andratx as a base for two to four nights to explore the surrounding Southwest Mallorca.

Parking is usually easier outside the midday peak. Look for marked blue zones and avoid the immediate town centre at lunchtime in July and August.
